It’s not often that our movie reviewer Ben O’Shea gives a movie a one-star review but, hoo boy, here we are.

The Crow is a modern reimagining of the graphic novel by James O’Barr, starring Bill Skarsgård as Eric/The Crow, a man who is resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his girlfriend Shelly, played by FKA Twigs.

It’s also a reboot of the 1994 cult classic of the same name; the same movie where the lead actor Brandon Lee died on-set after he was fatally shot with a prop gun.

Reviewer Ben O’Shea remarked that Lee’s death created such a pop cultural moment in the mid-90s, why mess with it: “Probably just don’t touch it… it’s the kind of film you would just leave alone”.
