The director of Layer Cake, Kick-Ass and the Kingsman franchise Matthew Vaughn is at it again with the action-comedy Argylle, which hits cinemas from today.
Argylle features an incredible ensemble cast, including likes of Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, Dua Lipa, and an aggressively flat-topped Henry Cavill.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
“Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which centre on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organisation, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.”
Our movie guy Ben O’Shea have a good time?
“I had sooo much fun,” he remarked to Clairsy & Lisa, after earlier describing one scene as, “Dua Lipa sitting astride a dirt bike with a machine gun firing a ridiculous amount of bullets at Henry Cavill in a cocktail dress.”
OK, we’re in.
