Led Zeppelin fans will be excited to learn that the documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin will be getting a theatrical release.
The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2021 and features interviews with band members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones, as well as archival footage of the band:
Thing is, it’s not been seen since then.
However, in a statement from Sony Classics, a “now completed” cut of the film includes “a brand-new sound mix [and] newly unearthed material from the archives of all four band members.”
While a release date hasn’t yet been announced, the fact that its now complete suggests that one might not be too far away.
The documentary is a “hybrid docu-concert film” that will include live footage from the band’s early concerts, as well as interviews with the band members.
