The creators behind ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ series are uniting again.
Known for voicing Gollum, Andy Serkis will not just reprise his role, but he’ll also be directing ‘Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.’
The screenplay is created by an impressive team, including Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Phoebe Gittins, and Arty Papageorgiou.
‘The Fellowship of the Ring,’ ‘The Two Towers,’ and ‘The Return of the King’ bagged a string of nominations at the Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs. The third instalment won 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, in 2003.
Serkis and Boyens are thrilled to return to the world of Tolkien and collaborating with a top-tier team in New Zealand, with the promise of an epic new adventure made to the high standard of the original trilogies.
