It’s a tale as old as time. You’ve downed half your drink during the first few minutes of Oppenheimer and you’ve realised your rookie mistake: it’s a three-hour movie. Ruh-roh.
It’s not like at home where you can just hit pause for a quick loo break, but at the movies there’s no such luxury… when you gotta go, you gotta go and along with that, the risk of missing a crucial plot point.
This is your reminder that Runpee exists, an app that lets you know when can answer nature’s call without missing an important storyline in practically any movie you can think of.
“The app that tells you the best time to run and pee during a movie without missing the best scenes — plus a whole lot more,” the app’s description says.

In Titanic for example, the creator of RunPee, Dan Gardner suggests you leave for four minutes at the 56-minute mark – right as the character Molly Brown says, “You shine up like a new penny.” He explains that while it’s still a good scene, nothing crucial happens, so it’s a good time to duck out (here’s a handful of other times too).
The app also provides a basic summary of what you missed.
It also lets you know if there’s any post-credits sequences, so you don’t miss any outtakes or special scenes!
You can download it at Google Play or the Apple Store
