Tate Walker is the tall, blond romantic lead in Where the Crawdads Sing, the Southern murder mystery starring Daisy Edgar Jones, based on the best-selling novel by Delia Owens.
He’s played by Taylor John Smith, an actor who clearly does his due diligence, like actually reading the book that the film’s based – something not all actors commit to.
On Thursday, Smith gave Clairsy & Lisa a real insight into some of the behind-the-scenes of filming the movie, including working among the swamps of Louisiana where he also learned how some locals have, at one time or another, lived like the film’s main character, Kya.
