Despite being a nine-time Grammy Award winner who also picked up a lifetime achievement award in 2002, Joni Mitchell is set to grace the stage at the prestigious ceremony for the very first time.
Mitchell is nominated for Best Folk Album with her Joni Mitchell at Newport (Live) release. The album marked her first live performance in 20 years at the Newport Folk Festival in July 2022, and a significant step in her comeback following a challenging period that included a brain aneurysm in 2015.
Her first win dates back to 1970 in the Best Folk Performance category for Clouds, while her most recent was in 2022 for Best Historical Album with Archives, Vol. 1: The Early Years (1963-1967).
The 66th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast on February 4.
