When it comes to rock royalty, one band stands unmatched: Led Zeppelin.

According to The Top Tens, a collection of over 200,000 interactive top ten lists users can vote on, add to, and reorder, the group made up of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham, have been crowned as the Best Rock Band of All Time’.

Formed in London in 1968, Led Zeppelin redefined rock in the 1970s with hits like Stairway to Heaven, Immigrant Song, and Ramble On. Their influence spans decades, inspiring generations of fans and musicians alike.

The band’s run came to a sudden end in 1980 with Bonham’s death. His irreplaceable drumming prompted the group to disband immediately. “When we lost John, we agreed unanimously that was that,” Plant had reflected, with Page affirming that replacing him was never an option.
