Not only is one of the most celebrated DJs on the planet about to descend onto Perth this weekend, Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim is about to release a new documentary on one of the most ICONIC outdoor gigs ever to be performed in the UK.
In 2002, Big Beach Boutique was expected to attract around 40,000 to the shores of Brighton Beach… but ended up with more than 250,000.
“It was very very beautiful but also very scary,” he told Clairsy & Lisa ahead of his Perth concert this weekend.
“The whole city ran out of alcohol… and it was a near disaster.”
We also got into a lather over the classic sample tracks he’s used over the years (one of which is on it’s third generation) and of course, the resurgence of vinyl.
