Fleetwood Mac are officially done. Stevie Nicks confirmed the break up during a new interview with MOJO.

“Without Christine, no can do,” she said, referring to Christine McVie’s death in 2022. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”

“Even if I thought I could work with Lindsey [Buckingham] again, he’s had some health problems,” she added.

“It’s not for me to say, but I’m not sure if Lindsey could do the kind of touring that Fleetwood Mac does, where you go out for a year and half. It’s so demanding.”

This definitive answer comes after Nicks spoke about the possibility of a reunion in late 2023.

Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks in 1977.

“When Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her,” she said at the time.

“Without her, what is it? You know what I mean? She was like my soul mate, my musical soul mate, and my best friend that I spent more time with than any of my other best friends outside of Fleetwood Mac. Christine was my best friend.”

Fleetwood Mac may be over, but Nicks is still touring solo.

“Fleetwood Mac is all over my set,” she noted. “I will keep the music of Fleetwood Mac alive, for as long as I can.”
