It’s been a long time coming, but the original masters of the toilet humour/punk rock cross-over genre blink-182 have played their first show with original member Tom DeLonge in almost a decade.

DeLonge joined bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker on the Coachella stage after getting an eleventh-hour call-up to join the massive festival in the Californian desert.

Blink’s leadup to the quasi-comeback tour had been dealt a blow in recent months, with drummer Travis Barker seriously injuring his finger twice during the band’s rehearsals, leading to the band postponing the first leg of their highly-anticipated world tour which will make its way to Perth in February next year.

“This is just devastating on so many levels,” DeLonge said of the injury. “But we’re gonna get Travis better, we’re gonna come down — the three of us, together — and we’re gonna rock, and we’re gonna have an incredible time with you guys.”

For those who were lucky enough to score tickets to next February’s show at RAC Arena, here’s what you might expect to hear judging by their Coachella setlist:

Family Reunion
Anthem Part Two
The Rock Show
Man Overboard

What’s My Age Again?

Tom exited the band in 2015 with fellow members labelling DeLonge’s exit at the time as “disrespectful and ungrateful”. He was replaced by fellow rocker Matt Skiba, however the trio is said to have made amends following bassist Mark Hoppus’s cancer battle.
