If you liked There’s Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber, we think we have something for you.
The latest from Peter Farrelly, one half of the writer/director brothers behind the hit ’90s comedies, has just been released on Prime Video.
Ricky Stanicky is about three childhood mates Dean, JT, and Wes (Zac Efron, Andrew Santino, and Jermaine Fowler), who for the past 20 years has used their other friend Ricky Stanicky as a handy alibi or excuse to get out of their immature hijinks.
Thing is, Ricky Stanicky isn’t real.
After a prank goes awry, the trio’s wives and girlfriends smell a rat and demand to meet Ricky. But instead of coming clean, the friends hire washed-up actor and raunchy celeb impersonator ‘Rock Hard’ Rod (John Cena) to bring Ricky to life… and ends up taking his role too far, leaving the guys wishing they’d never invented Ricky in the first place.
Ricky Stanicky dropped overnight on Prime Video and our movie guy Ben O’Shea logged in to check it out:
