A Vegemite-flavoured snack has been recalled from Coles across the country over fears it could cause an allergic reaction in some.
Calbee Australia’s Harvest Snaps in the Vegemite flavour was recalled nationally on Wednesday by Food Standards Australia/ New Zealand.
It’s understood certain batches of the crisps don’t state on the packaging that it contains gluten, meaning anyone who has a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if they eat it.
The recall only relates to the 200g size packet and those marked with best before dates between 28 August and 29 August 2023.
Consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
