Perth is finally getting the venue it deserves. Live Nation has officially dropped $10 million on the European Foods warehouse in Northbridge to make way for Northbridge Music Hall, a purpose-built space set to throw open its doors in the summer of 2026-27.

The space will be a 3,000-capacity powerhouse, designed to finally give Perth the mid-size venue it’s been screaming for.

The reimagined 77 Francis Street site will keep its heritage shell, but inside: think two state-of-the-art performance spaces – a large main hall and a moodier 600-capacity club room. Inspired by Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall and backed solely by Live Nation (no third-party partners here), this space isn’t just about big names – it’ll cater to a range of shows, everything from indie gigs and comedy spots to high-profile theatrical runs.

“Northbridge Music Hall is set to become a cornerstone of Perth’s cultural landscape and a dynamic space for live entertainment,” Alex Klos, President, and Paul Piticco, Director of Touring and Venue Development, Live Nation Australasia, said in a statement. “It’s an investment in the city’s creative future and we’re excited to collaborate with the local arts community to create new opportunities for both performers and fans.”

The venue is set to host over 120 shows in its debut year, with Klos teasing The Music Network with: “the idea will be to have a good opening with a prominent act to showcase the venue when we’re ready.”

Watch this space.
