From today, November 22, certain streets in North Perth, Mt Hawthorn and Leederville are now smoke-free.
The smoke-free zones include Angove and Fitzgerald streets in North Perth, Scarborough Beach Road in Mt Hawthorn, Oxford Street in Leederville, and parts of William Street and Beaufort Street.
Part of the City of Vincent’s Public Health Plan 2020–25 is to make its town centres smoke-free by 2025.
The smoke ban also includes vaping.
Smokers will have six months to get used to the roll-out before penalties of up to $200 will apply.
