This all came about after Clairsy & Lisa relayed a story about a man said he feared he would lose his dangly bits after being bitten by a black widow spider.
Fergus Farrelly, 26, says he woke up one morning and spotted a painful marble-sized lump on his penis – which kept growing larger.
He was rushed to hospital when the lump, now the size of a golfball, began to go a dark purple colour. He spent four days in hospital where blood tests revealed he had the venom of a black widow spider in his system.
While Clairsy & Lisa were mortified by Fergus’ plight (he’s now OK), they wanted more stories about being bitten.
So, we opened the phones.
Let’s just say it quickly turned into a PSA for quokkas.
