West Coast’s Jack Darling will not play, train or have any contact with other players after missing the club’s deadline to adhere to the AFL’s COVID-19 policy.
Under the rules, Darling won’t be unable to attend the club’s facility in Lathlain or any club training session.
Ryan Daniels broke the news to Clairsy & Lisa on Friday morning…
In a statement, West Coast said Darling will train independently while he takes some time to assess his future.
“The club will continue to support Jack has he contemplates his options and is optimistic that he will return to build on his outstanding career to date,” it read.
“While the club does not respect the right to personal choice, it also supports the protocols put in place by the AFL and governments – both Federal and State – as they navigate their way through this persistent and challenging pandemic.”
