West Coast Eagles star Elliot Yeo has shared his views on the AFL’s crackdown on tackling amidst ongoing concussion debates. Yeo joined Clairsy & Lisa this morning and admitted that the current state of tackling rules has left players unsure about where the line is drawn.
With the AFL continuing its ambition to protect players’ heads, Yeo believes that the ambiguity around what constitutes a “good tackle” has created confusion. He suggested that the AFL might need to revisit parts of the game like holding the ball rules, and provide clearer guidelines for players.
Yeo’s comments come off the back of news that Footy legend Gary Ablett Sr is suing the AFL along with clubs over concussions.
