Fremantle’s David Mundy admitted he had some concern for his “old man ankles” after about 1000sqm of turf was replaced at Optus Stadium ahead of their clash with Melbourne at the weekend.

The quality of the turf was questioned during West Coast’s loss to St Kilda last week after recent rains and the hosting of a couple of pre-season matches between English Premier League clubs Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Manchester United.
